#18 San Diego State won its 11th straight game, beating Indiana State 62-55 in the semifinals of the Diamond Head Classic in Honolulu on Sunday afternoon. All-American candidate Jamaal Franklin scored 19 points and snagged 15 boards for the Aztecs (11-1), who play #4 Arizona in the tournament finals on Christmas night.

The San Diego State men’s basketball team run its win streak to 10 games, beating San Francisco 80-58 in the opening round of the Diamond Head Classic in Honolulu. Chase Tapley scored a career-high 33 points for the Aztecs (10-1), who play Indiana State on Sunday in the tournament semifinals.

SDSU’s women’s basketball team won its third straight game, beating visiting Fresno Pacific 90-41 on Wednesday night at Viejas Arena. Erimma Amarikwa led five Aztecs in double figures with 16 points. SDSU (7-3) is off now until they play SMU in the opening round of the San Diego Surf ‘N Slam on Friday, December 28th at Viejas Arena.
